River Jordan is an East African church in Ottawa.
They invited Gord Martin to speak there on Father’s Day.
In Gord’s words, “They did an extraordinary job of affirming and elevating fathers in their service. I have never seen anything as good as this!”
Among others, Gord met with a young man afterwards whose father had died when he was quite young.
He admitted that he was still angry.
Gord was able to have good conversation with him and share his own grandson’s anguish and anger over losing both of his parents.
For this young man, perhaps that one little conversation with an older brother in the Lord was an avenue of God’s grace and healing for him.
We don’t always know how God is working and yet, sometimes just the right conversation or the perfect person seems to come along at the right time.
It’s not chance.
It’s the Spirit of God.
