These booklets are part of a three year pastor training program.
For pastors in Kenya to be able to have these in their hands – this is a joy.
For the teaching pastors who need resources, for the pastors who want more training, and for the pastors in Canada who love and support their brothers and sisters from afar.
This is tangible evidence of the body of the Christ working together for the sake of the gospel.
A small team of Vision Ministries Canada (VMC) pastors – Gord Martin, Doug Loveday, Chris Atkinson, and Matt Craig – are in the final stages of writing a 3 year pastor training program for their colleagues at Vision Ministries Kenya (VMK).
The first two booklets have already been printed in Kenya and will be used as pastor training resources throughout the VMK network.
The booklets focus on understanding personal design, relationships, and church leadership with an emphasis on Scripture and biased towards a deep love of the church.
They are based on teaching that Gord, Doug, and Chris have done over recent years as they’ve made annual trips to Kenya to teach pastors who then teach other pastors.
Chris and Matt Craig are going to Kenya again this fall.
They will train about 40 VMK pastors – and these pastors will then go out to seven regions in Kenya and reteach the material to other pastors.
To be able to give a physical resource like these training booklets to pastors in rural or impoverished areas or who have limited resources –
this is God’s grace – for all involved.
