Meet Lydia – who was a ministry intern at Elmvale Community Church in Ontario …
“It was truly a gift from God, that I got to be a part of Elmvale Community church for a year. One thing that really touched me right from the beginning of the year was that I really got to experience how faithful our God is. The first time I came to ECC it felt like such a familiar place because I could sense the presence of Jesus. I knew that Jesus was with me and that I´m not alone in this new country with the people I didn’t know yet. From that moment on I got to experience how God walked with me and how he led me through the unknown. I also got to really experience God as my provider. He gave me everything I needed and more. He provided a second home for me.
Through our tasks at ECC, eight are doing youth group, Sunday school or working in the office. I got to learn to be a faithful servant and how through being faithful, I was able to grow in my leadership skills but also and more importantly, I grew in my personal relationship to Jesus. And then having amazing people alongside me who deeply love Jesus was just incredible. It was inspiring and refreshing to do life with them.
I learned that when I have God, I have everything I need.
And that I must share the treasure that I found in Jesus with the world.”
