John de Los Santos became a Christian in his late teens and was mentored under Pastor Matt Craig at Don Valley Bible Chapel. As he grew in his faith, he realized he had a heart for youth and wanted to help disciple the teenagers at church. In recent years, he’s cobbled together a combination of part time ministry jobs to make things work for his wife and baby (actually, two babies soon!). But, as you may know, working multiple part time jobs in different settings can sometimes be tricky.
This September, God began to put all the puzzle pieces together for John.
First, he was invited to be the new intern Youth & Family Pastor at Don Valley Bible Chapel.
Then, he was asked to be the English Pastor for the Toronto China Bible Church’s joint English ministry, who also meets at their building.
He’s excited for both – discipling youth and encouraging second generation Chinese young adults.
The timing, his heart for youth, his own experience as a second-generation immigrant- these two jobs seem like a perfect fit.
Grateful to God for orchestrating it all, John enters ministry in this new capacity with the joy and confidence that God is indeed at work.
