A Handyman’s Hospitality – Wasaga Community Church

Jeff attends the Monday night community meals at Wasaga Community Church.
But his wheelchair makes it a little tricky to sit at the dinner table with the rest of the folks.

It was the love of God that prompted Don, an 85 year old man from Wasaga Community Church, to come up with a fix.
Some measuring and a few pieces of wood.
A practical solution was found and implemented.
His handyman skills were used to physically embody the hospitality of God.

It wasn’t much for Don to do that but for Jeff – it’s a little overwhelming.
It means the world that someone would go to that effort just for him.

This is hospitality that goes beyond mere courtesy and good manners.
This is the generous hospitality of God that says “you have been in the image of God. You matter. For God so loved you that he gave his one and only Son …”

Who knows what God will do with this simple act of service?
We shall see!
