    Having pastored in three congregations, Mike comes to VMC with a deep passion for the local church.  Convinced that the Church is still at the centre of God’s redemptive purposes in the world, he’s eager to help congregations discern the fresh ways in which God is inviting His people to ‘be Church’ for a given context.  Mike is energized by theological reflection, catalyzing mission, biblical communication and helping followers of Jesus to respond to the active and formative presence of God’s Spirit.  In 2016, Mike and Sharon have been happily married for over 3 decades and continue to give thanks for the gift of three children, a daughter-in-law and three grandchildren.  Personal passions include fishing, travel, culinary exploration, spurts of fitness and exegeting film.

    Gord has a passion for evangelism, equipping and church-planting. His experiences include: Missions in Ecuador and Colombia, evangelism pastoring and planting in the Kitchener-Waterloo area, the formation of an inter-denominational mission to reach the disadvantaged of the K-W community and he is the founder of Vision Ministries Canada which began in 1992.  He and his wife Heather, live in Waterloo and attend Lincoln Road Chapel.  They have three married sons and 5 grandchildren.

    Jay loves people and connecting. He’s honed his relational skills in a wide ranging career that included stints as a performing arts producer, college faculty member, newspaper editor and as President of Mount Carmel Bible School. Now he spends his time coming alongside church-planting entrepreneurs, leaning on his experiences in planting and nurturing young leaders. Jay and his spouse Margie are nomads, living with one or another of their 5 adult children and many grandkids (who are spread throughout North America and beyond).

    Mark worked as a Professional Consulting Engineer before serving for 17 years with his wife, Petra, as Co-Pastors of Marineview Chapel in Vancouver, BC.  He now serves as a full-time professional Coach and Spiritual Director for leaders in both the marketplace and in ministry.  He is the founder of (Whole Life Coaching) and coordinator of (National Network of Executive Coaches for denominations with church planters).
    Mark and Petra provide coaching for planters, spouses and other people starting new things at VMC.  Mark is also the Regional Network Coordinator for the VMC Regional Networks in Vancouver and Victoria.

    Rebecca comes to Vision Ministries Canada with a background in program and team management, coaching,  training, and process improvement. She is responsible for the areas of finance, human resources, project management, and administration. Rebecca has a heart for God’s church, and serves within her home congregation of Lincoln Road Chapel. She and her husband, John, have been married for over thirty years. The Lord has blessed them with a daughter and son-in-law living in Waterloo, a son living in Vancouver, and two young grandchildren.

    Indy is the national coordinator for the Chin Christian Fellowship of Canada, a network of 10-12 Chin (Burmese) churches associated with VMC. He also provides leadership at City Church in Winnipeg, and the Manitoba Chin Christian Fellowship. He coordinates ministry for the Chin people who are scattered around the Globe due to their persecution.  Indy also serves many refugees in association with City Connexions, a ministry of City Church.  He and his wife Ceri, have two children and live in Winnipeg, MB.

    Henrietta has served with VMC since its beginnings. She provides support services, manages donations and receipts, plans events, assists in-trust churches and helps with almost every project. She, and her husband Al, live in Waterloo and attend Lincoln Road Chapel.  They have three adult children and feel privileged to be grandparents to a growing number of grandchildren!  God is so good.

    Doug was a high school Science teacher for 12 years before becoming a pastor at Community Bible Church in Lucan for 25 years. His gentle way and his genuine care for people are evident as he ministers to pastors in the VMC network. He and his wife Ruth, live in Lucan and have 4 married kids and quite a few (19!) grandchildren.

    VMC Social Media Coordinator

    Steve is responsible for representing VMC online. With a good deal of social networking experience, Steve is active on Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram. Steve also serves as an Associate Pastor at Hillside Church in London, ON. He is married to Brittney, and together they have a son named Porter.

    John retired as a VP of Clarica (now Sun Life) Insurance Company in Waterloo.  His expertise and knowledge are highly valued as he assists VMC administratively on an extensive array of projects that it undertakes.  John attends Lincoln Road Chapel and he and his wife Nancy, live in Waterloo.

    Co-ordinator of In-Trust Churches seeking Corporation Status

    Gwen has joined the VMC staff to assist church plants in navigating paperwork requirements to obtain their Charitable Registration Status. She lives in Waterdown and attends ForestView Church.  She is thankful everyday for being blessed with three children.

    Cathy is responsible for maintaining accounting & payroll activities, performing multiple financial reporting and analysis for VMC. She has more than fifteen years of experience in the accounting field. Her and her husband Eric live in Waterloo and attend Lincoln Road Chapel.  They have one daughter in university.
