Lots of exciting things are happening at Medhanialem Evangelical Church in Ottawa, ON!
Pastor Sultan Tesfaye shares an update below about the recent baptism of 6 young teenagers, a tract-evangelism ministry, and a women’s conference.
That’s the encouraging news.
However, the building they have been using for worship gatherings has been sold and this church body needs a church building.

Read Sultan’s message to the VMC network:
“I am glad to share with you that our church’s various ministries have been doing well by the grace of God. Recently, we were blessed to water baptize 6 young teenagers (pictured here), and we joyfully celebrated this milestone together.
At present, we have more than 47 children in our church, served faithfully by three teachers and two support teachers.
Our evangelical ministry takes place every Saturday after 5 p.m. in the downtown area, where our mission is to reach English-speaking Canadians with the gospel by distributing tracts. To empower women’s ministry, our church will be hosting a special conference on September 13–14. Sister Mulu, the wife of Pastor Misgina, will be ministering during those two days, and we are looking forward to what God will do through this event.
However, we are facing a challenge since the building where we currently worship has been sold, and we are uncertain about where we will go for our future gatherings.
We continue to pray and trust God’s guidance in this matter.”
