Transitions are usually a bit tough.
It’s sometimes hard to make that transfer from old to new without a sense of abandonment.
Or a wishful longing for the past.
Or fear for whatever might be around the corner.
Pastoral transitions are no exception.
It’s been evidence of the grace of God for Guelph Bible Chapel as they are saying goodbye to a pastor they have known and loved for 18 years AND at the same time, as they are saying hello to a new pastor they have just met.
There’s even this lovely overlap that will help ease Pastor Chris Timm into his new calling and, at the same time, will ease Pastor Dan Andrade into his new role as pastor at GBC.
Pastor Chris had been a coach in numerous sports and so when the opportunity arose for him to coach coaches with Fellowship of Christian Athletes – it seemed like a good thing for him and for the Kingdom.
And, at the same time, Dan was exploring options as he prepared to graduate from seminary.
Dan prayerfully only responded to one job posting – this one – trusting that God was leading.
Their mutual interest in each other was confirmed.
We join together with them – in gratitude and acknowledgement of the grace of God as God leads and we respond!
