Agape Chinese Bible Church in Stouffville, ON celebrated the baptism of two Chinese young people a few months ago.
The baptismal tank was borrowed from a Mennonite church.
The service took place in an United Church.
When I spoke to Kathy and Richard (pastors at Agape Chinese Bible Church), they couldn’t help but smile and thank God for the spiritual commitment that these young people demonstrated.
Part of the joy was the various churches that came together to make the baptism possible.
It was a tangible sign of Christian unity.
Of Christians focussing on what brings us together – instead of highlighting what makes us distinct and separate from one another.
Oh how good and pleasant it is when brothers and sisters live together in unity! (Psalm 133:1)
