The opioid crisis in Canada continues to rage on.
Almost 25,000 people have died from opioid poisoning in the last 5 years.
However, a church in Barrie is responding to this crisis with the love and truth of Jesus.
Kevin Mast is the pastor at Hope City Church Barrie who operates Hope House.
He believes that the opposite of addiction is connection – with God and each other.
Through a variety of ministries, Hope City Church opens a door for people who struggle with addiction.

With Jesus and good support, this man is experiencing the hope of a new life.
He says he now wants to talk with and be with people, he cares about people, and he wants others to experience the Good News that he has experienced.
