Children & Family Ministry Facilitator

New Life Community Church (newlifeburnaby.ca) seeks a passionate and committed Children & Family Ministry Facilitator, dedicated to cultivating a vibrant and spiritually enriching environment for children and families. This role is not just about coordinating Sunday School logistics—it’s about fostering a Christ-centered culture of discipleship, connection, and growth within the church community.

PROGRAM COORDINATION & MINISTRY OPERATIONS
• Oversee Sunday School operations, ensuring engaging lessons, a safe environment, and a strong foundation in Christian education.
• Facilitate intergenerational church events that bring families together in worship, service, and fellowship.
• Organize summer faith-building programs (Vacation Bible School, ‘Wacky Wednesday,’ etc.) that involve both families and youth leaders.
• Maintain necessary records, manage budgets, and ensure supplies and curriculum materials are available to volunteers and teachers.

QUALIFICATIONS:
The ideal candidate will:
• Have accepted Jesus Christ as personal Lord and Saviour, and, as a Christian, believe the Bible and doctrines outlined in the Apostles’ Creed
• Have experience with Children’s and family ministries in a local church setting.
• Have excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Be able to work well both independently and within a team setting

COMPENSATION:
Hours: 10-15 hours per week
Hourly Wage: $25 to start, and will depend on the successful candidate’s background, education, and experience.
