When a family crisis hit,
he realized that he was never going to be able to get that sermon done for Sunday.
Even with the ease and efficiency of pre-recording,
too many things had already stolen his time and mental energy.
Preparing a sermon was going to be the straw that broke the camel’s back.

So – what’s a pastor to do?

He calls a friend.
Another pastor who works close by.
And says – “Can you help me out? I’m stuck.”

Because they’re a part of a community of pastors that has been formed over a few years and there’s love and trust and commitment to each other’s flourishing,
this other pastor eagerly stepped in.
“Of course. That’s what we do for each other.”

Working together – for the sake of the gospel.
